#artSUNDAY 30 minute charcoal and pastel portrait of Brian! When I work like this, I imagine the compressed charcoal is ink, and I'm able to eventually soften the edges!

This one was memorable. I wanted to mainly focus on line. To get this angle I stood on and straddled two tables with the easel precariously traversing the gap. Worth it!

#inspirationSATURDAY Today's inspirational artist is the great Hungarian born, Vienna and Rome raised painter ADOLF HIREMY-HIRSCHL. b. 1860-1933.

Hirschl was a contemporary to Gustav Klimt in Vienna and they initially had similar work and competed for the same jobs!

#throwbackTHURSDAY This is maybe the most important painting I've ever made.

I created it in art school while I was an animation major trying to paint like @JonFosterStudio & @JamesJeanArt

It made it into the @SpectrumAnnual & gained the confidence to switch to Illustration!
