"I obviously like to paint a woman who has a little meat on her bones--not like Roy (Krenkel), for God's sake who thought 200lbs was petite!

He wanted only to sail his prize white ship--an alien creation--across the broad seas of the world. But the world was in upheaval & his homeland Dorada soon to be no more as the wild men of the steppes raided down toward the sea.

"Ellie called me in 1974 to talk about the possibility of trading me another painting for the cover painting for Creepy #9. Ellie mentioned a handful of paintings that she & Frank would be willing to trade, but I didnt care for any of them enough to trade.

He was a member of Swordsmen & Sorcerers Guild of America (SAGA) a loose-knit group of heroic fantasy authors founded in 1960's & led by Lin Carter. They sought to promote the popularity & respectability of"Sword and Sorcery" sub genre including Brak the Barbarian stories by him
