Adventures of Monty

This one is a mini comic thingy based off Journey June prompts, which I got a little past halfway through and plan on finishing this year, and if I do it'll be posted here too.

The design concepts I started with:

Did I mention Fuirey gets his own book, a companion novel called False Prince? Well that's a thing

And thaaaat's the basics! From there are mostly adventures I just keep hinting at in art, but keeping the spoilers to myself unless I privately tell someone the whole story ★

But, out there White does chance upon a number of people, including his family on his father's side, who as it turns out might be more roughly made than the city folk, but they have heart. From them he learns of a mission he must take on, and a new chapter of his life begins

White does escape, but only to brave the wilds of Ineia, an icy wasteland of a country.

They get along fairly well, two outcasts with varied levels of success in fitting in within the castle. White rises to become the youngest Link in the King's Chain (king's personal tacticians), while Fuirey seems to never get close enough to the palace folk to feel safe

If you see either of these kids you know this is the story we're talking about.
White is the MC, Fuirey a sort of antagonist. Both are super smart and different degrees of asocial, but they need each other to survive after one big mistake one of them commits.
