And then around 2018 I revisited them after coming a bit further in my self discovery and acceptance journey, after which the surface character cut their hair, giving up on being perfectly acceptable, and embraced the tortured 'demon' within

These characters have kinda been growing up with me over the years.
They're not exactly me, but they are kinda like personified bits of my personal journey of self discovery and acceptance.
