My biggest procrastination is adding to my reference folders. My new favorite is google searching inanimate objects paired with vintage. E.g. (vintage life preserver) which inspired the cleric’s padded armor.

Each character was designed as a reward to for top tier backers for the initial Game to Grow kickstarter. Backers got to choose their character class and race.

For this set of characters, I wanted the line work to bleed through leaving each stage of the painting to show through while still melding for a finished look.

The Life Day Treasury is full of stories about the you’s and me’s of the galaxy. It’s not all blasters and sabers. It’s about friendships, families, and lovers. I appreciate that @cavanscott and @George_Mann it was a pleasure to illustrate. #starwars

I love seeing more of the empires perspective in the recent movies/shows. I always had a soft spot for stormtroopers. You can gun down 100s of them and they will still try to take you in alive. Their kindness never pays off, they immediately get blasted, every time.

The Spirit of Life Day. Working on SW books is like getting a paid education in Star Wars lore. I will forever remember that the Catina band were Bith (A peaceful and intelligent sentient species that were native to the planet Bith) I am that much more prepared for SW Trivia.
