another discovery: Metamode, Koei's catch-em-all GBC game—instead of collecting monsters, it's a Zelda-style game (with real-time co-op) where you collect different guises for your character, and the designs are 2000 as heck🇯🇵 there are 45 male & 45 female all up

btw, if you've never seen OG Puyo~n, here it be, they went more traditional shoujo for this one game but it wasn't a particularly popular change

btw, that second one's Gotta Protectors! I used the Japanese promo art because... I didn't think it through, tbh, but also because the promo art for the NA version got an ironic "western NES art" makeover and it's so accurate it hurts https://t.co/8XVuOhYmpa
