Bird 19. Vermillion Flycatcher.
This was a new bird I learned about and oh my god these birds have the best mating practice. Males will bring a butterfly or other showy insect to the female to impress her. HOW GOOD IS THAT?? ? 1000/10 romance of the century bird. #inktober

Bird 12. Mallard
Many ducks have a colorful patch of wing feathers called a "speculum" that helps with IDing them. The speculum on a mallard goes "white black blue black white." Male mallards also have 2 curly tail feathers! Stylish! #inktober
