Bird 8. Dunlin.
Don't tell the other birds but my favorite group of birds is the shorebirds group. They use that long bill to probe mud for bugs to eat. They are also SUPERPOWEREd BECAUSE their bill is so sensitive they can find bugs via TOUCH! They can forage at NIGHT! #inktober

Bird 5. Great Horned Owl.
Owl feathers are very special! They have an adaptation known as "fringing" on the edges, which makes it so air passes over them in a unique way. While most bird wings make a loud WOOSH as they fly, owl wings make no sound at all.

Bird 1. Spotted Towhee.
These little friends are happy hopping birds. Like a lot of birds in the sparrow group, they perform "leaf pipping" which is where they hop onto a leaf and then quickly move backwards to try to uncover hidden bugs to eat. 10/10 great hops friend!
