Our next #HCZF exhibitor is Silus Freed, who makes incredibly atmospheric sci-fi and horror comics, zines and short stories using a combination of line drawings, photographic elements and digitisation.

EVEN MORE DEBUT COMICS! Another new comic that you can find on the @WIP_Comics table! Alexandre Szolnoky will have the complete Buddha Boy, a phenomenal 260 page autobiographical account of the time he lived in a Buddhist monastery in Taiwan. Not to be missed.

DEBUT BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT: Following up on 2018’s Work anthology, @WIP_Comics presents Progress – featuring over 20 short comics in multiple styles and genres from creators both established and new, all interpreting the title theme in their own way. Not to be missed.

DEBUT BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT: @katchapman is back with a brand new travel zine documenting her trip to the Scottish Highlands earlier this year. As an added bonus, she’ll also be debuting some beautiful enamel pins!

DEBUT BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT: The great @brookes_gareth will be releasing his new comic Threadbare, an intimate eavesdropped conversation about love. Composed of stunning double sided embroideries, the results is one of the most moving and unique books you’ll find on sale at HCZF.

HCZF EXHIBITOR ANNOUNCEMENT: One of the pioneers of the UK small press scene, @DECADENCECOMICS have been putting out solidly good material since the early 2000s. Sci-fi and fantasy with a psychedelic twist and a high design polish – if you don’t know these guys then get on board.

HCZF EXHIBITOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Female-led comics forum @laydeezdocomics are one of the most important groups in the UK comic scene. Celebrating, supporting and promoting female identifying creators, they hold workshops, meet-ups and events all around the world. Come and say hi!

HCZF EXHIBITOR ANNOUNCEMENT: The supremely talented @ajpoyiadgi will be making an appearance. His poignant one-shot sci-fi comic Veripathy remains one of the finest small press books out there, and all of his work is beautifully rendered and exquisitely put together.
