I had to stop sooner than expected when I started the nomad style but have still done some here and then.
On the last ones I experimented with acrylic inks and really loved it. I recently did one for marvel cover and the editor liked it enough to ask me for some more.

then, I started going to conventions and this technique became a bit laborious, and was missing an extra kick, so I added the use of watercolor inks: colorex, which, on the right paper was smooth and vibrant. This technique is the safest for me but I still needed 2 Learn

Matt is a mix of a lot of inspirations.
I modeled his teenage self after the only black boy of my middle school, back in the 90’s north of France.
But his knight self was inspired by a lot of different illustrations by legendary illustrator Angus McBride.

now Angela is a complex one. Her design is a weird mix between costumes from battle of the planets, Gally from Gunnm, Vincent Valentine from FF7 .... and Madonna.
