And if you made it aaaaaaaaaaall the way to the bottom of the thread, here's the art that inspired this remake almost a decade later! Featuring my old OC Chenzira pretending he's an Okami god rather than an Anubis ripoff

I wanted to make sure that I centered the composition as if it were going to really be a two-page spread in a magazine, which is why I have that faint black overlay to show me where the left page was.

Honestly most of the time I draw Demetrius I go with something vaguely dog-dragon shaped and then give it the right colors, OR I draw basic Demetrius and then give him some wack colors

This is the most open interpretation, but the color pattern is still intact even though the feet are talons and he has a big ol mane. Here, the white scale spots on the feet reflect the light tan patterns on his feet in the basic design.
