16/ I'd had to tweak Struzan's art before, for a soundtrack of Williams's and #Spielberg's Hook, where I carefully trimmed the art circled in green and raised it up to effectively mask off the areas in blue. But for Potter poster, covering up specific areas wasn't possible...
15/ King of the one sheet, artist #DrewStruzan, had painted posters for each of the first two films, but only the first was used. I wanted to use that iconic poster on the final booklet (which fit alongside the cases), but didn't want it to appear exclusive to the first film...
3- 1980s-ish Sensational She-Hulk. Despit my best effort, my version looks suspiciously like Jennifer's can of Aqua Net ran dry before posing. Apologies to the big hair crowd. #SheHulk #comicart #procreate
2- Had a lot of fun drawing The Thing. Trying to find a middle ground between Byrne's pencil neck squint and Kirby's square-jawed smolder for Reed was challenging. #FantasticFour #FF #BenGrimm #JackKirby #drawing
Been busy with design, so haven't drawn much lately. I'll share some older #Marvel corner box tributes. 1- #ThePunisher. Mid to late 80s is absolutely Mike Zeck at the height of his dark powers, so my tribute suffers more than usual in comparison. #FrankCastle
Marvel corner box tribute: The Mighty Thor, issue 272. Sketch, inked, colored in #procreate. #bronzeage #Marvel #odinson #MCU #notHemsworth
#PortfolioDay 2/2 Designer/art director by day, but working on more traditional comic art by night. Still thirsty for the Bronze and Copper eras. I'm working on a series of corner box art tributes at the moment. Just started on the Hulk. #Marvel #BronzeAge #Spiderman
Thanks to this Batman/Fortnite crossover, my 13-yr old son finally ASKED to go to the comic shop next week for new comic book day. He is not going to like how long we spend there....
@realmarkrez It'd be great to see the comic book digest revisited more often. This pair of kid-friendly #IndianaJones digests from @DarkHorseComics in 2008 is one of the few modern attempts. Beautifully packaged, tight stories, tremendously expressive artwork - pick 'em up if you see them.
