Happy 186th birthday, Lime Street Station!
On the 15th August 1836, Lime Street Station officialy opened.
It is considered the oldest still-operating grand terminus mainline station in the world.
It's Global Scouse Day, but what we really want to know is...
Red cabbage or beetroot?
I'm a 'Why not both?' kinda guy 😉
Final four random pics from 2021.
These are all digital artworks that I created.

1896 - A crowded St James's Cemetery
But it wasn't until the 10th June, 1936 that the last burial took place and it was declared full.
The cemetery was turned into public gardens in the 1970s, but the bodies still remain - all 57,774 of them.

Mayoral elections in Liverpool used to be celebrated in with the gruesome 'sport' of bear baiting
Thankfully this was banned in the late 18th century
Good luck to the candidates taking part in the election today for mayor of @lpoolcouncil
Bertie, the Liverbird standing on the East clock tower of the Liver Building, keeping a watch over the city. Some say he does it to make sure the pubs open on time!
His counterpart, Bella, on the river side tower keeps watch over the port.
@LeisureLeagues2 I put this image together and had it made into a cushion for a birthday pressy for a friend who's a massive Blondie fan.
It came back looking so good, I was tempted to get one for myself!
Watercolour painting by Henry Marriott Paget of King George V laying the foundation stone of Liverpool Cathedral.
The painting is held by the Royal Collection Trust.
