Decided to do a series of “apoctober” prompts from Instagram. Here’s the first 2
Welp #Spectember ‘s not over so here’s one more before the month ends; the pixie is the smallest of the wyvern family. They build communal nests which harbor a fungus that causes confusion and hallucinations when eaten. The spores collect as “pixie dust” on their fluffy bodies.
@JuliotheArtist I was a lot more ambitious (and prolific) with full compositions back in 2016, which is incidentally also the year I was really starting to refine my style. Nowadays... well my lineart is crisper, at least.
First #Spectember redraw is the ahuizotl!
Imagined here as an amphibious marsupial with fingerlike graspers at the end of its tail. It may have helped arboreal ancestors hang from trees, now it lures and smothers small prey. Or human prey, if you ask your local Aztec fisherman.
Most of the creatures I draw are made-up or extinct, does that still count? #AnimalArtistsUnite
Late to Smaugust with a newfound vice for redesigning chromatic dragons to be as ridiculous-yet-recognizeable as possible
Everyone’s comments have been duly noted. I give you... the Anti-Swooce https://t.co/5t0tJIdzLA
Some older birg art I still like. I’ve tweaked the designs a bit since then but the Look still holds.
