@dreamland2003 in some instances he looks more yellowish (e.g. a lot of art for sonic heroes) but he’s generally always been a yellowish orange in his modern design and a normal orange in his classic design

bold-outlined video game artwork my beloved

i find myself inspired by the classic sonic artwork in general but naoto ohshima’s art in particular has served as a huge inspiration of mine. i unironically learned to draw hands well by imitating his sonic 1 art in middle school

scott campbell’s art for psychonauts (and to an extent the whole psychonauts art style) is a more recent inspiration of mine but its such a good inspiration! love the emphasis on shapes
