HEY EVERYBODY IT'S #NEWCOMICBOOKDAY
Here are my top four picks for this week, what are you reading?
THE MARVELS #2
HEROES REBORN: YOUNG SQUADRON #1
REPTIL #1
MARVEL-VERSE: SHANG-CHI
This is not only an excellent cover (this whole series has magnificent cover art) but it also DOES. NOT. LIE.
Meet Gork. A baby dragon and the latest in a long list of reincarnations of Shou-Lao the Undying. He contains within him the chi which powers the Iron Fist and must be protected at ALL costs. https://t.co/Y0raJiM5oU
If a classic detective story about Misty Knight, set before she quit the NYPD, and her run-in with Daredevil sounds interesting to you then check out DAREDEVIL ANNUAL (2018) #1
It's nothing revolutionary, but it does give us our (at present) only look at Misty's backstory.
OH MY GOOD LORD this comic is doing things no other marvel comic is even capable of! this issue has, what, three scenes in it? and each one is a whirlwind of emotion using every panel to the fullest ADVANTAGE. what astonishing work! and THAT ENDING. WOW.

MARVEL'S VOICES: IDENTITY #1
MARVEL'S VOICES is an excellent podcast and I love how the branding has been applied to these anthology books championing minority characters and creators. Shang-Chi on the cover is enough for me, but I'm excited to see what else is packed in here!
AMAZING FANTASY #2 (OF 5)
The fact that this exists is completely unbelievable in the best way. The description seems like it definitely doesn't convey just how wild the contents of the book will be, and if Kaare Andrews work on Iron Fist is anything to go by I'm very excited.
AVENGERS TECH-ON #1 (OF 6)
After the surprise of MECH STRIKE and DEMON DAYS I am eager for more Japan-inspired takes on the Avengers. A sentai story seems like the perfect fit and I sure hope I can buy action figures based on this series. @theCHAMBA is incredibly suited to this.
