I've accidently made this. Not the design itself, but the round corners. In my previous models, the #pixelart became blocky as soon as I've converted it to 3d, but as I was trying to make this thing more fluid, it came out soft. This might change everything from now on...

New update to the pixel art to 3d method... I've managed to to shape a model's body without having to cut in many parts, the sides can be colored. I believe the palette made it look a bit "cell shaded". Next time I can make the back different from the front.

Draw shape
Cut in half
Open blendah, install image as planes add on
Import img
Edit tools, knife, cut off the white part
Mirror modifier
Extrude faces
Remesh
Sculpt and add details
play w remesh
