The "magical", "human", "hopeful", and "optimistic" moments in a comic work best when they're preceded by moments of darkness and tragedy that push superheros to their mental and physical limits
I feel the need to remind comic book fans once again that Batman doesn't kill before or after Batman V Superman, he had a brief period where he was close to losing his humanity during which time he broke his no-kill rule to kill criminals who were opposing him
When you use the first picture to prove that Lady Shiva can low diff Batman with ease, remember that the second picture implies that Lady Shiva feels as if the fight wasn't "proper" and that "trickery" was used, so it wasn't really a fair 1v1

This is from the Batman V Superman prequel comics, featuring Batman fighting criminals in Gotham, and confirms that Batman did follow a no-kill rule before the events in Metropolis made him more brutal. It's a really good comic to read if you want to understand BvS Batman
