Question to the animation community. How do you feel about the recent trend of Cartoons making characters more simplistic?

Do you like this new direction since a simpler style can make more fluid animation
Or
Do you prefer a more detail even if you must simplify the animation?

Blaze Fielding (Streets of Rage)
One of the most iconic gaming ladies in beat'em ups. Blaze mixes in some awesome skill with flashy visuals, and was a blast to play.

Frieza (Dragon Ball Z, Super)
Lets face it, sometimes it's just fun to have a villain who is evil just because. No tragic back story, no real reason he is that way, he is evil, period. If anything else, it makes fun when he gets his ass kicked because of his own dickishness.

Kamen Comet
Part of the Kamen Corps. "Angrier Russian Noises", definitely the harsher of the group, but that's why I love the character. XD

OG She-Ra (Original Animation and DC Comic Run)
Loved this character because she showed women can be as tough as men in the Masters of the Universe and considering her Bro was the most powerful man in the Universe, that was a tall order, which she easily filled.

Lets face it, this was Wonder Woman at her prime.

@ComicPerch Also, the Armor really doesn't seem to be helpful. I mean she held her own against that giant serpent thing with her OG outfit and fights like a boss, but some rando kicks here and she falls like a ton of bricks? I think she was better off with her OG Outfit.
