Jacki grew up in a family of storytellers in the rural farm country near the banks of the Mississippi River. Her current projects include recreating some of those river tales for children.

One of my favorite picture books Darkness Slipped In is already out of print. But the chracter arc was handled beautifully in that book. The child finds it within herself to transform her darkness into a friend who only visits at to play.
