An older piece for today. Looking back now, I can definitely see a lot of flaws in the perspective and lighting, but overall I like what I was going for with this piece, especially with how I rendered the creature.

Last week’s illustration for #smaugust2020 ! The prompt I had for that week was “Sea”. My idea of a sea dragon is amphibious, nesting along great seaside cliffs while soaring above the waves like an albatross before diving after prey.
