...this imagery from horror films about excorcism. It's my belief that we project this imagery into these films, specifically about excorcism, because we subconsciously know their effect on releasing trauma held within the body.

This piece I titled 'Glossolalia' (2008). It's the technical term for 'speaking in tongues'. The more mystical and stranger aspects of Christian belief continue to fascinate me #acrylicpainting

1. By isolating out exagerated forms from Japanese animation my intention with the Hypermass series was to create a sort of hyperreality space. where 2D imagery took on the sensorial feel of a 3D sculptural environment...

Once I started creating vector versions of my artwork I started to be asked to do commercial work, which I was more than happy to do. Some call it "selling out", I call it "paying the rent while doing what I love" 😋 This was a piece for the Japanese design company @BALCOLONY

'Conception of the Unfolding Implicate' (2007) This painting was my interpretation of the Annunciation (the angel Gabriel visiting Mary) It was the first painting I ever made which was created without a composition already planned out. I built it up in numerous layers of acrylic.
