@AidenRS139 The fact that A Hat in Time and Bug Fables are so heavily influenced by Mario drew me to them pretty quickly, but the former definitely holds the distinction of being my favorite indie game! So much so that I’ve literally made it my headcanon that Hat Kid is Mario’s daughter!

@AidenRS139 Thankfully he didn’t, but they really disrespected my boi in a couple of others... A certain someone isn’t too happy about them...

The Sakamoto couple only have one daughter, that being Kasumi. As both of her parents are human, the Yoshi DNA her father injected into himself only makes up a 4th of of her genes, lending to her mostly human appearance. In SMJBX, Oogtar somewhat acts as an adopted son.

The Mizushima couple are Rei’s parents (of which she is the only daughter and the youngest of five, having four older brothers). As I’ve mentioned before, they’re a clan of ghost hunters who live in Hikari Temple, which sits on an island that was once infested with evil spirits.

The Furuya couple are the parents of Airashi and her siblings, Koji and Yokiko. They’re your typical modern Japanese family, living pretty much normal lives. They’re neighbors to Marco & Luana in Diamond City, so the Furuya family are considered to be affiliated with Mario’s.

Ah, almost forgot to mention this little fact. I’m sure y’all may have noticed, but Levia’s hat and the way her hair looks wearing it, is extremely similar to Goombatt. Well, he’s actually one of those dedicated fans I mentioned earlier in the thread! What a simp, am I right?!

Looked a bit more carefully at the drawing just now, and noticed a stray speck next to Levia’s mouth. I went ahead and cleared it up now. Also forgot to take into account my laptop’s screen is brighter than my phone’s, in case you notice the skin tone being a bit lighter.

Levia's name is based on leviathan, which is usually depicted as a species of sea dragon; additionally, her color scheme is meant to reflect the aesthetics of Opelucid City as it appears in Pokémon Black (2), as well as colors used to represent the Dragon type.

Finally finished the drawing of Levia, the first #Pokemon OC I’m revealing for #SuperMarioJBX Didn’t have time to finish Vern to upload alongside her though, but he’s pretty much next in line!
