Just remembered that awkward point in time where Goombatt was going to be no better than Jim when it comes to the ladies. With how I write him now, he’d be pretty upset with this previous version of himself...!

In the future, Rei mellows out significantly. Though she’s still a shrine maiden and her ferocity towards evil ghosts has not changed, she’s become much more gentle and less prone to anger. Being married to “a certain someone” and becoming a mother can have that effect.

Rei actually just began her training as a shrine maiden around this time. Back then, the Mizushima family just had her defeat very weak ghosts or ones that were already weakened. She was actually very frightened by ghosts, and her tough act may be hiding that fear even now!

For today’s repost, I decided to show Rei Mizushima at three different periods of time. Her past as a 5-year old child, how she looks now, and ten years in the future. Need to do this for most the other fan characters, but I hope you guys like these pictures!

Felt like resharing art of my take on a “Teen Mario”. This is him at 16 years old. His casual clothes at this point is his standard outfit, so I opted to draw him in the Diamond High School uniform instead! It’s not there yet, but Mario’s mustache is really starting to grow!

@thegameawards If we’re talking about franchises that never got one, I’m gonna be the odd one out and say Puyo Puyo and Disgaea (the former mainly because I’m very curious to see how their battles actually look aside from the cut-in animations).
