@MationMiss These four are just absolutely adorable! They’ve all been some of my favorite female characters for the longest time now!
@butterfIyloona @KirbyCheatFurby To be fair, Mario isn’t always so happy-go-lucky in his own series. When it comes to fighting, he puts on a more serious face, most noticeable in the RPGs. Of which the majority of them happened between Melee and Brawl, and he’s had to deal with some heavy stuff at the time:
@PownicMania5000 Like always, the best way to approach this is to look at drawings similar to what you’re going for in a particular piece or even just photos of actual places. Practice makes perfect. Of course, backgrounds that are just patterns rather than actual scenery are also an option:
@PownicMania5000 I don’t usually draw backgrounds, and for some of them I used pre-existing images. But like with character design, drawing backgrounds takes a lot of time. Perspective plays a big factor, especially for places with a lot going on. And then lighting/shading comes into play.
@NintendoAmerica I remember as a kid I was all excited by the way the Yoshi’s Story looks and sounds, and it’s still pretty fun to play. It’s certainly got some extremely weird creatures in the game though; perhaps one of the strangest in the entire Mario series.
