Working on an art commission today and it’s really coming together, I’m super excited for the day that I’ll finally be able to share the results!

These connect with the metacarpal bones of the hand - the articular surfaces of the MTCs that touch the carpal bones are also part of the wrist. So as @ScavengerEthic correctly said, there’s overlap!
