Once airfield and railway yard, today this natural reserve in the east of #Berlin is characterized by an incredible #biodiversity: about 380 flowering pants and 1,300 insects - many of these on the 'red list' of #endangered species in Germany.

@beritmiriam Schnaufendes Prusten, zerstäubende Fontäne - plötzlich Wale neben dem Kajak. Waren so verdattert, dass nicht einmal der Gedanke an ein Foto aufkam. Später vom Zelt mit Fjord-Blick aus im Skizzenbuch wenigstens noch den Abschiedsgruß einfangen können. Lange von gezehrt.
