It was painted as an 'opposite' to the 'Baptism' of Christ. The colours, the hands, the 'umbilical chord' swapped for chains.... all opposite.
Another painting from the series, 'The Human One.'
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord
more than those who watch for the morning,
more than those who watch for the morning.(Psalm 130)

Counting down to @CRE_churchshow with a few of my favourite paintings and drawings. This is one of my latest paintings and has just come back from the photographer. I think this is one of my favourites so far... "Resurrection." See you at #CRE2021 Have a great weekend.
Here is a work in progress. It is a painting of the Resurrection that I’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks. Lots more to do to it yet but I hope you like it so far. You can come and see it progress at the @TitheBarn @StMarysPriory if you are ever in Abergavenny.
@ChristineLuetc1 @ShaneClaiborne I’ve painted the Sermon on the Mount if that helps?
Today I I'll be illustrating Psalm 53. In the meantime, here is a painting that I produced several years ago. The title, "The Lights On Our Shore" was written by a lady who worked with refugees... she was kind enough to donate it :-)
Psalm 53 later... have a good day:-)
