Using Marble Zone as an example, here's what Marble Zone looks like from morning to night.
Visually, everything has been improved on quite a bit. Noticing tiny little details like shading in the backgrounds or Sonic's own skidding frames is very nice. The unused enemies look great and accurate too. The day to night cycles are implemented, and so are zone transitions.

Everything about this ROM hack is full of references, appearances and assets of concept art and the recently discovered Sonic 1 beta build. Here's a few screenshots of them. Not gonna show all of them.
