This thread is a really nice overview of my most very favourite motion picture. https://t.co/1BKQi66I6z
@bluemoonpaul @jesselonergans May I humbly suggest some @RikWorth & my pages from Hocus Pocus. At one point we also try something that only works with a *printed* comic by inviting the reader to physically shine a light through the page to reveal what's happening "on the other side" of a dark seance room.
I drew the Fox Sisters again for a comic that was part of a live performance by @lawrence_leung. This was a fun challenge recreating a real room I had never been in (along with predicting all the events that would happen in it). Colours by @owenwattsdraws
I just realised that I share my anniversary with Houdini's birthday - today!
With the #Oscars2023 on the horizon, it's the perfect time to listen to @JamesJStory's podcast "According to Oscar" - the History of the Best Picture Academy Award, told by Oscar himself! (Logo/cover by yours truly) https://t.co/tZG4WrxaPc
@StievenVdP Yes!! I arrived at the same solution as well. Really characterful. It's one of my pet peeves when cartoon octopuses have a made-up mouth in the middle of their "face". It'd be like if an octopus drew humans with their mouth between their legs.
@artinsociety @GrrlScientist Inspirational! Hooke and these very illustrations appear in the @LifeologyApp course on style in science communication I made with @MassiBucchi - https://t.co/852QGLdRSg
What I love about this @Gingerhazing comic is that it doesn't rely on having to know about (or even like) Star Wars, it's just really movingly told. https://t.co/eomGHdqn6R
Sometimes you spend a ages developing an art style and then promptly lose that ability. I painted this around 2016 but have *no idea* how I did it!
