@EmuLarge I found remains of Peltophryne as well in the literature, but while the largest I found were probably up to 2o cm long they all seem to represent living species or are to fragmentary to exclude that they belong to modern species.
Because of popular demand I give you the newest version of the Cuban island size chart.
I don't claim these to be 100% correct, for some species it was VERY difficult to find references for and scaling might be questionable at times.
Would I jump on the hashtag train of #PrehistoricPlanet to boost my own visibility? Shameless as all these other artists? Never!
Oh, btw. here some sketches I remembered I did a while ago. https://t.co/K2AGwlvYII
And some more examples on how one could build enclosures for a #Paleozoo!
Keeper problems with Numidotherium, the Erlikosaurus canyon, brushing the Archaeotherium and an Stegouros underground viewing chamber.
Results from the next #Paleozoo stream.
Our little example zoo is slowly filling up.
First we did an Eryops colony, followed by the Lystrosaurus valley, of course the Gigantopithecus bamboo forest had to be a thing and we ended with the Austroraptor waterfall.
Results from the third #Paleozoo stream!
Plateosaurus Kindergarten, Wakaleo enclosure and Shringasaurus temple.
I wanted to make clear btw. that my little park here is just an example and that you don't have to use any of these animals in your submissions for the challenge.
It is #PortfolioDay !
Hello there, I'm a paleoartist! I work with scientists and museums to bring ancient organisms back to life and stream my process live on Twitch, look for #paleostream!
I work traditionally on paper and digital.
The aesthetic is fine in itself but I noticed that even when presented with the already large tool box that @PrehistoricK offers, people often don't quite know what to do with it because pop culture taught them only that one aesthetic.
You might have noticed that the test images for the #paleozoo challenge look very little like the JP/JW enclosures you often see. That's no mistake. I want to get this idea that dinosaur zoos have to look like brutalistic prisons out of peoples heads.
Results from out first #Paleozoo stream! The little series that runs along side the paleo zoo server challenge! Show us your ideas for paleo zoos!
We did today an Ediacara touch tank, the Anteosaurus valley, a Drepanosaurus aviary and our own little Solnhofen lagoon.
