Now I’m catching up on #DeathMetal. I’m reading the LoTDK one shot. I don’t know which of the 3 writers credited for the opening story (@Ssnyder1835 @Williamson_Josh @JamesTheFourth) was responsible for this, but this transition from splash & double splashes to 9 panels was 🔥

Although, the Exodus stuff was one of the few times I’ve gotten an uneasy feeling about what’s happening on Krakoa. I’m guessing it was intentional & wouldn’t be surprised if this will lead to some conflict down the line

This has me wondering about a few things...

I know he’s not there anymore, but the fact that the last 2 comics the former DC boss wrote for them he ended up working with 2 guys who have joined Comic 🐊 might explain some stuff when it comes to the culture of the company

@FotoCub I think current Land is the best work of his. He still falls into some bad habits at times, but overall his more recent stuff doesn’t look so overly traced. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that his bad habits show up when drawing women characters

Next up is a random issue of Hawkman from April 2004. I mean it’s a 1917 set @StephenWacker edited, Ed Brubaker written, @seanpphillips drawn one & done about one of the Hawks’ past lives. It’s the only issue of the series by this creative team, and it’s pretty (6/)

But yeah, I haven’t read any of this since they came out. I might have to rectify that here soon.
