"Teddy's Christmas"
Artist ~ Fritz Baumgarten~
I decorate a tree for my outdoor friends but I must confess I've never seen my mice wearing mufflers or birds in darling headscarves. Oh, but I wish I could.♥️

I love the whimsical touches in Avril Haynes' illustrations. This has always been my personal favorite. It was my Christmas card one year.
This Edwardian illustration by Edith Holden has a blackbird, blue tit, Robin and Hedge-sparrows. Ivy and Holly.
"As soon as the grown-ups were safely occupied downstairs, they climbed out of their bunk beds to watch the snowflakes falling past the window."❄️❄️❄️
"Tobogganing tomorrow," said Wilfred. "We'll make a snow mouse," said Catkin.

"Mrs. Apple had spent the afternoon baking pies, cakes and puddings for the cold days to come. She drew two armchairs up to the fire, and brought in their supper on a tray".
