Been noodling around with this one for a while, and the day before Halloween seems a good day to drop it. I'm a big fan of the @tryguys and their approach to attacking toxic masculinity, and the pun was too much to resist.
Later artists (and the animated series) brought geometric consistency to the lines on that bib, but I always really appreciated Jim Lee's "random lines going every which way" approach.
I've never actually watched Schitt's Creek, but I really appreciate that Catherine O'Hara is wearing Gambit's ascot/bib thing from the 90s.
@barrydeutsch I had a not-small number of people mad at me because they thought this cartoon was pro-"ALM." I realize we're in an area where parody is difficult to separate from reality, but come on.
Looking back at some old cartoons, and man I really like the way the art in this one turned out--at least panels 2 & 3.
I’m not here to cancel @deAdderCanada but I want to give feedback: I’m very uncomfortable with this cartoon and how it directly appropriates the image of a Black man murdered by white supremacy to make it about a more comfortable and familiar villain.
