a sort of reference showing mane growth pattern (left). his mane is meant to vaguely resemble flames.

i've been dabbling with blender trying to branch out into 3d. here's some test stuff i did with a bust model of sol i made for art reference. the colors are just done via gradient maps in csp.

a slightly improved 2nd try at what monster sol's skull may look like. the 5 horns would likely be black in reality but i couldn't find a way to make it work with the visual style i was going for.
