first attempt - I got the mesh to appear, but the texture was mapped incorrectly.

after many failed attempts, I believe I've finally succeeded at *actually* model editing (as in modifying the m2)

I'm pretty certain that Blood Elves currently can't be shaman because of this questline. They basically enslaved the elements, and if we're ever revisiting Ghostlands there are definite reparations that need to be made.

There's a lot of "cosmetic" items that could benefit from being transmog like the worgen top hat, Black Embersilk Robes, Draenic Silk Robes, etc.
In addition, just simply being able to toggle hair could help immensely.
