While in London last weekend, I visited @NPGLondon again (for the brilliant Martin Parr exhibition). A usual, I bought a postcard of Spencer Murphy’s photograph of Benedict to draw, this time with a biro, a medium I don’t use often. Also added earlier versions in ink and pencil.
@LookingForLeia Star Wars is one of my oldest fandoms, along with the works of JRR Tolkien (and a more recent influx of BBC's Sherlock).
“Fireside kiss”
A second illustration for the fabulous Noctiluca scintillans by @alexaprilgarden. This is also my 1000th finished Sherlock inspired artwork (counting from when I started this blog in July 2011).
#PortfolioDay I’m an illustrator and graphic designer mainly working in watercolour, pencil and ink. I’m inspired by Tolkien, Sherlock, nature, historical and mythological themes, London, photography (urban, landscape, portrait) ...
@DragonRex2 @starwars I actually drew/painted him as Thrawn a while ago (although in the second pic it’s rather Sherlock cosplaying the character ...). I agree Benedict would make a brilliant Grand Admiral.
Happy Birthday, Benedict.
Since you seem to have already found the answer to life, the universe and everything, here’s wishing you a wonderful day with your friends and family. Thanks for all the ... well, not the fish, but the inspiration you provide to so many people.
