I've noticed some artists have this weird tapering effect going on with their linework. Like, it's not cleancut or overly even, yet it still looks super natural in the full piece

Anyone know what I'm talking about, & how they achieve something like this w/o it looking messy?

Deviated quite heavily from my usual process. Not 100% happy with this drawing, but it was a very insightful experiment nonetheless
