I wanted to portray their strength in this artwork, but also show that they are in fact, shy and not actually aggressive animals! I loved eyes in the reference photo and I wanted them to be the focus of this painting so the viewer can feel a connection

Hey everyone!
"Emerging" is now complete!
I chose this colour palette for the rhino because I believe it complimented the subtle orange/red shades in the rhino's skin!
