@mae_mckinnon That would probably be Mara from my Black Rose Guard dark fantasy series. She’s a Fae princess who gave up her royal title to become a knight. She’s fiercely loyal to fellow knights & those she vows to protect.

In 1,200 years, she’s only loved one man in a forbidden romance.

@NCKoussis Mara lost her parents when she was young, so the royal guard became her family, particularly Garreth, her cousin & Sub-Captain Phillip (purple).

Both become are her mentors, confidants, & those she can always turn to.
