Captain Mara. I'm working on the 7th book in her series right now, so I've been with her longer than any other character. I've covered 1,200 years worth of her history and feel as though I know her better than just about any other character.

@kfoxx_writes There are two sides to Mara - the princess & the knight. The series also spans 1,200 years, so lots of changes in fashion.

Mara is most comfortable in casual clothing, instead of elaborate gowns. She prefers a sword to jewels or accessories, with the exception of a rose pendant.

Mara is heading toward her father’s grave. She’s visited by a sort of vision/ghost of Phillip, who begins the story of her late father’s final days, and how he really died.
