Hello #mtg fam! Today, tomorrow and Monday I’ll be releasing one giant marketing image done for the #MTGWAR release! Today we’ll start with Gideon Jura, Nissa, Karn & others fighting the lethal dreadhorde!

In honor of #GameOfThrones⁠ ⁠ today, here’s that time in 2013 I painted characters for The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and The Game of Thrones. They are Nymeria & Mors Martell, Viserys I and of course, my fave, Rhaegar Targaryen!

P.s for the process junkies, these last three images are the different sketches I sent in the beginning! It’s kind of interesting to see what things the client wanted! The original sketch was so much simpler than what we ended up with! :)

@krysjez asked to see some of that 10 yr old art, so here it is. This was all Florida work, pre atelier. I remember how incredibly hopeless I felt while making some of these. I compared my work too much to others, and spent more time doing that, then learning how to be better.

Today in #Blackpanther its sketches that I did for the last #Shuri post. I submitted various sketches, in which composition, light and colors are all figured out. A good foundation is so helpful to take a painting to to final! :)

On today’s episode if #BlackPanther art drop, we have #Okoye , head gear. These are companion pieces to Nakia’s post from yesterday. The concepts are similar except Okoye, being leader & general, had more complex & adorned head gear. Also she wears gold to show rank 🏆

1/2 With the weekend now over it’s time to continue our #BlackPanther art drop! Next up the Dora Milage: This was an early take of Okoye, played by the incredible @DanaiGurira . Of course all these explorations were done before the iconic design of @SketchPaintDraw awed us all!

1/2 Moar #BlackPanther art. When @ForestWhitaker was cast for the role, we all got super excited! We also got the note to make him more of a shaman of the earth and less of a warrior. I researched many african tribes: how they use leathers, beading, paints, feathers, bone, etc-
