It goes without saying that kirby was a massive influence on eastman and laird, as the early issues had openers and splash pages inspired by him, but the biggest story about kirby is the Donatello micro series, which is a loving tribute, later adapted in the 03 show

I really dug don Figueroa until the mid 2010s when he made the comics have the movie designs, they made the characters creepy as fuck,

Depending on the source, this would have either aired on kid's WB or Cartoon Network. WB passed on it and the rest is history as they say.

These are but a handful of the 40+ pictures of concept art you can find online, so here's the ones that stood out, mostly tmnt mainstays that we've seen throughout the franchise.

Prior to the 2003 tmnt cartoon being produced, there was an earlier project pitched to WB in 2001, and there was quite alot of concept art available. This version was gonna be more faithful to the original mirage designs.

So I love the City Fall arc of the Idw Tmnt comics and one of tbe interesting parts of that story was the original plan to have Leo be the son of Oruko Saki instead of Hamato Yoshi. It's brought up in the deviations one shot back matter.

Campbell's artwork is just wonderful and vibrant or melancholy depending on the story, and reading that quote makes it all the better that she finally got to work on tmnt in a greater capacity at idw as an series artist and now main writer of the book (2/2)

Did you know that following the 2009 sale of Tmnt to Viacom, the franchise was originally going to go to Dark Horse? Artist/Writer Sophie Campbell brought it up in an old interview. The article also had some of her art circa 2009. I would love to see what her pitch was (1/2)

Four comics to get to know me

At the end of the day, I love emotional stories that focus on the characters and the world surrounding them. https://t.co/CGU7rlZdFT

I genuinely love Echo as a character. She is very much like Matt, a character who, while having a disability, she's probably better than most fighers. She was fully fleshed out and I get happy anytime I see her on the page.
