Arthur Foley Winnington-Ingram, Bishop of London 1901-1939, was born #OnThisDay in 1858. This chromolithographic print appeared in Vanity Fair in 1912 showing the Bishop “in his lighter moments”.

James VI of Scotland becomes King James I of England #OnThisDay in 1603 after the death of Queen Elizabeth I. This engraved portrait of James I based on Van Dyck's painting, was printed in 1720s [Prints 009/044].
