Death in comics is a joke(unless you're Uncle Ben or Lian Harper) so instead of killing characters, go the Khan route "I've done far worse than kill you, I've hurt you" Roger Stern did this perfectly during THE BEST Avengers story "Under Siege".

And by cartoony I don't mean it has to be straight up Sunday Pages style of art, but more Silver/Bronze age Cap(your Buscema and Co.) instead of the more Modern(Cassaday's, Hitch, etc.).

Doesn't mean I don't like Cassaday, Hitch, but I just prefer the cartooning more.

My favorite era of X-Men, the "Outback" era.

In 1995 it was released with a Liefeld cover and one by interior artist Daerick Gröss Sr., the comic was written by Andy Mangels. The regular cover(right) has Lobo hanging dead in the background(Lobo inspired Bloodwulf).

@Ciaranredokeefe Sure is, one that I could still watch today, and a comic I can still read. They did a Christmas issue of the comic that had a heartwarming story, and the female centric issue was good without being demeaning towards men.

Justice League Unlimited wasn't only a great tv series but a comic too. While the main DC comics were violating then murdering Sue Dibney, mindwiping, and executing Blue Beetle, the JLU comic was dealing with heroism, and entertaining character pieces as well as action.

Arguably the guy was the heart of the Marvel Universe, caused the birth of the Hulk, helped form the Avengers, was sidekick to multiple Cap's(America and Marvel) was Captain Marvel w/ Genis-Vell. Now he gets battered around in Immortal Hulk.
