20 years ago, back when Wizard Magazine was starting to wane, it got into the comics making game with Black Bull Entertainment, it wasn't a rousing success. It's first comic was Gatecrasher, though my favorite and what I think was the best they did was Just A Pilgrim.
Gotham By Gaslight, the first and one of the best Elseworlds comics they put out, as well as being one of the best Batman comics, it is also my pick for the best single issue that Mike Mignola ever did.
If you've never read Gotham By Gaslight, what are you waiting for?
@aesseguy This one?
And yeah, that Icon character is a real asshole.
Looks like Chris Evans has a interesting way of promoting his comic debut with Lee Bermejo, CAPTAIN AMERICA: DAMNED
While not exactly a Elseworlds story, it's in that vein, "JSA: The Liberty Files" which has DC heroes re-imagined as covert super agents fighting during WW2. There's a collection, but unfortunately, it's out of print. But the issues are worth tracking down.
Unfortunate to see that Diana Rigg has died. She was wonderful as Emma Peel in "The Avengers", and as Tracy Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
She also inspired the "Black Queen" look for the X-Men's Jean Grey when she was apart of the Hellfire Club.
@PunchDrunkKing I like them too so it was a let down that I didn't like the story.
But years later in the Annihilators comic, they introduced a female SpaceKnight, Ikon, which I liked a lot.
@PunchDrunkKing My favorite was this short lived look, the short hair, and the lightning bolt symbol on her chest.
One of the many reasons I love comics is because they can go so many places. They can be personal stories in B&W or massive cosmic adventures. The only limitations are the ability to get the images on to the page, and overall imagination.
@PunchDrunkKing @aesseguy @ComicPerch I only read a issue of the run, I think it was this one it was entertaining, but nothing I returned for.
