In one issue, we get our protagonist Wesley Dodds aka Sandman, you find out he's spent time abroad from a origami piece he makes, we meet the supporting cast, Dian Belmont, the threat of the antagonist The Tarantula is made very clear. It grabs you by the throat.
My addition. "My Thursday feelings. Hungry." https://t.co/3i945Zj6EN
@ComicPerch Really nice list, here's one of mine:
-Marvel and DC should return to and enforce House Styles created by John Buscema and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez
This is how you do a good villain.
The Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect #2(of 2) by Peter David and George Perez.
Ever see a illustrated panel and just know what it would smell like, this one is rank.
Also in nearly 40 years not much as changed as far as hygiene goes.
Love the line art in this Annual, really reminds me of Tim Sale when he did Spider-man: Blue.
Art from Amazing Spider-man Annual #19 by Louise Simonson, Mary Wilshire, and Pat Redding
@ComicPerch Another Wonder Woman illustration(Variant Cover) by John Romita Jr. with Scott Hanna inks. I think it's clear the line art is far grander in presentation.
@ComicPerch I like John Romita Jr. but not when Janson is inking him, on the left is inks by Scott Hanna, who inked a lot of his Amazing Spider-man work, it has a real weight to it, and looks far more dynamic. On the right is Janson, it's too feathery.
