Meet “Dame à la Lavande.” This was another one of my color with intent projects in which we were prompted to place a character within an environment.
I tried a new digital painting technique with this one, and I think I like it!
I hope this brightens your day 😊

Winter quarter is ending and, with that, here’s my first piece from Color with Intent: a warm/cool still life. The only 3 colors I used for this were burnt sienna, ultramarine blue, and white. Good lesson in value and warm/cool shifts!

Unfortunately I couldn’t get a high quality scan before giving away this commission, but I’m SO HAPPY with how it came out. Here are my aunt’s cats, Gemma and Wilson 😸 gesso and oil paint on 9x12” bristol.
