Anubis had 2 active curses: the growth curse and the souls curse. Once he found out Osiris was the father, he began to grow. He then began to rot away as well. Both curses working in tandem - one an inconvenience, the other one deadly. +

Interesting how Anubis' life was suddenly in danger by the curse during the trial. Before that, he had begun to feel better and that was thanks to Osiris who continued to breathe life into the lotus heart+

And this is all speculation of course, but I think it could be Hathor. Right before FG encountered Isis we see a scene where Hathor is at Horus' side after his injuries had been treated. In his wanderings, did he find Hathor? Did he try to woo her? +

Let's not forget that FG has an informant in Heliopolis, and somehow the caravans were able to get through Isis' temple because someone had magic. If FG had been the one to attack the temple, it would've been reported to Isis. There is someone else that is giving him support+

And it seems that FG had the intent to bring this medicine back home, which he does state in season 1 that it's in a state of chaos. Not only was he going to get power through Maat, but why not take some of this precious medicine? His homeland needs it+
