Though my original idea came from realising that the passesa dynamic is really like yin/yang... so the yin to the dragon's yang is the phoenix.

Although Passenger and Sesa are very similar, they're also rather contrasting.

There's a black and white aesthetic. Yet the one who wears white holds more darkness than the brighter one who wears black.

Since the new CN event A Walk In The Dust where they met, they've been shipped together and have quite some fanwork already. There's at least 10 art and fic of them each on Lofter.

The CN tag is 异砂 by the way.

Passenger is most likely based on the Passenger Pigeon, which is extinct.

It went extinct due to overhunting in the US, where firearms played a role.

So the fact that his rate up is together with two Vouivre snipers with explosive S2 (Toddifons and Sesa) is quite ironic.
